How your files are handled
Conversion runs in your browser or the optional Illustrator helper on this PC. TIFF and HEIC work when your browser can decode them; otherwise export to PNG locally. Animated images export their first frame.

Raster letters become outlines, not editable text. For exact text and photos, choose Preserve original.
Choose a format & export
A PDF-compatible .ai with your image embedded at full resolution. Open in Illustrator; the image and lettering stay as pixels.
Set up the Windows helper
- Download the Windows helper ↗
- Close any older helper. Extract the ZIP into a folder.
- Open Illustrator, then run start.cmd in that folder. Keep the helper open.
- Check the connection below, then export.
